Hello! My name is Amy and I'm excited to embark on this learning journey with you!

I hold a bachelor's degree in Chemistry and a 120 hour TESOL certification. Over the past seven years, I've taught ESL (English as a second language) online to students all over the globe, working with learners as young as 3 years of age to adults. I've had the privilege of teaching over 1000 classes, which has given me a wide range of experience with students of different levels and backgrounds. In addition to my experience in the ESL sector, I also have a strong foundation in phonics and reading instruction, and I specialize in helping young readers build strong literacy skills.

My teaching philosophy is simple:  learning should be fun and engaging! I focus on creating interactive lessons, using tools like Google slides and Powerpoint to make lessons as interesting as possible. You'll find that I incorporate popular children's characters- like Minecraft, Pokemon, Super Mario, Paw Patrol and more!- into my lessons to make them exciting and relatable. I believe that when a child is engaged, they are motivated to learn, especially when they feel encouraged and supported. 

Whether you're working on letter recognition, learning to read or building English fluency, I am committed to helping your child develop the skills they need to become more confident with the English language. I look forward to learning more about each individual I teach and tailoring my lessons to meet their unique needs. Together, we can make learning a rewarding and enjoyable experience!
